Dr. Trafny received his DVM from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN in 2007. He then did a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery internship at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City in 2008. Dr. Trafny continued at The Animal Medical Center with an internship in cardiology in 2009. He received a research fellowship in cardiology at Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital, Philadelphia, PA in 2010. He was accepted into the cardiology residency program in 2010 also at Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital and became boarded certified in 2013.
As a cardiologist his areas of interests include: management of heart failure, congenital heart disease; interventional cardiology; echocardiography and advanced ECG interpretation.
In life his interests include: basketball, hiking, spending time with his family and his two dogs, Popeye & Ida.
